If you are referring to the "SOL" letter and follow up, and you are beyond the legal SOL for your State, yes, of course use it.

I do not have any crystal ball to know if it will work or not, (it seems to work OK for most people) but, I can assure you -- it WILL NOT work if you don't try it.
