Yes I will agree. I wouldn't blame just that on it though. You have to look at the reasons why people file bankruptcy also. Most of these lending institutions will throw most of this money into somones face and then turn around and want to lend them even more. Credit cards are nothing other than a greedy necessity. People want them and need them. CC companies know this. Why should someone be punished for having average to poor credit by charging them a higher interest rate? With those someone will never pay it off. It just makes it easier for the person to fault on their payments. I am not implying that it’s the Creditor that has solely caused this. They just know the vast majority of us Americans have bad credit and we are taken advantage of by charging higher interest. This apparently does not help anyone out. This just seemingly creates more of a problem with debt. I think the majority of the people on this site have opted not to go the bankruptcy route otherwise they wouldn't be here. I think more people are understanding it is more worth it to let it drop off the CR in the 7yrs. 6mnths. Than have a bankruptcy on their report for 10yrs. it only makes sense.
I also think when someone speaks with an attorney. An attorney is not likely to give the person the "better" options for these people. Why? They make no money. That is all this is about is money. In the end we all lose. We have a bad CR, the bank has no money from us. We can't get money.

Obviously Annon and ladynred know nothing nor understand anything about IP addresses. ANON when you say Go Get Em captain. You must be pertaining to me. Since the IP address you listed as being mine. If you had noticed on both of my posts my IP is different. Makes you wonder doesn’t it. Ladynred cannot do anything with the IP address except find the network I am on. My ISP would never give her any information about me since I have done nothing malicious. I had simply left a post on a public message forum. And her whole bit on IP addresses is incorrect. She more less described almost like when you are downloading.
A little bit about your IP address (Internet Protocol address). When you connect to the internet, either via your internet service provider (AOL, Prodigy, etc.), or your office LAN connection, you are assigned an IP address. This address identifies “your computer” from the other computers on the internet. Your IP address version 4 (IPv4) can be either static, meaning it never changes, or dynamic, meaning each time you dial-in or login you are assigned a new address for that session. No two computers on aol’s network can have the same IP address otherwise you could easily hack into ones computer. And they would have no way to track you.
If you want to see your settings, in Windows 95/98 try the following:
Go to Start/Run and do the command winipcfg
That will bring up a network screen with your values.
Windows 2000 or XP you can go to a DOS prompt and do: ipconfig
On the Macintosh to get your IP address try the following:
Apple Menu --> Control Panels --> TCP/IP Control Panel On Mac OS X: 1. Open system preferences 2. Under internet and network, click 'network'It will show you your IP address
If you receive a dynamic IP address from your internet provider, it will likely be different on your next session.
No two computers can have the same IP address at one time. Mine always changes I have a dynamic link. Both my ISP’s hate me the way I am set up my IP address is at least 4 different ones each time I am on. I appear to them of having a router because I have multiple browsers open. When I am on this post I am connected through aol with another network with a T1 connection. Hence I will usually have a different IP address. An IP address is merely a number given to a computer when connected.
Hope this clears this up for you ANON. If you need anymore information on IP addresses visit www.iana.com
