I have found that I have an old Wards acct on my credit report. I recieved the credit card when I was 18 in 1998 and shortly after it was charged off as bad debt. I recieved a call from The Credit Store about 2 years ago wanting pmt in full which was $1300.00. We settled on approx. $900 and I agreed that I would pay $25 dollar a month until I could get it paid off. I made a few pmts, but irresponsibly lost the bill one month and didn't have any way to get a hold of them. I haven't heard from them since. No letters or phone calls. I desperately need to get this cleared from my credit. It's the only bad acct that I have, and is ruining my credit scores. I would appreciate some suggestions on the quickest and most sufficient way to take care of this. Thanks for your help.
