Yep, been there. Had 3 faulty items on my Equifax report. Called them on Jan 13, 2003. They are required to take action, either confirming or removing within 30 days. Received a letter dated Feb 12 that the items had been deleted. Course when I ran the check again in June, one of the items is still/back on my report. The phone call method seems to work, but it's never a bad idea to send it via mail. If you call, get the confirmation # and make sure to keep it.
