Spouse credit card liability

My wife is spending wildly on our credit cards, sometimes $40,000 or more a month. I keep paying the bills but she keeps spending, despite promises to stop. How can I stop this spiral before I go broke later this year? I cut up the cards, but she gets more in her name. I am still liable for those, right? She refuses all counseling. I am desperate in Texas.
