SOL auto repo Ohio...help

I am having a hard time understanding a repo. Someone directed me to this board for my question. My fiance had a repo in 1997-auction- (DOL 5/1997) Account was sold or transferred to Asset Acceptance. They have not contacted him at all. Disputed this on EX and it stayed. I got it of TU. But I heard there is a 4 yr SOL on repo's. I saw a car loan falls under written note which holds a 15 yr SOL in Ohio. After disputing on 2 reports they still have remained quiet thus far. I am kind of weary of disputing on EQ. I heard Asset is good for suing. On his EX it says opened 5-2000 on record till 2/2005 (Asset)
