Hi, I have a decent amount of credit card debt., about $15000.00. I'am able to make all minimum payments each month. However there is one card that is slowly tightening a noose around my neck, the interest rate is 29% and I have it maxed out, $8000.00 The finance charge each month is 200.00 and my min. payment is 204.00 a month, it's killing me. It's like loan sharking. I need to get my interest rate lowered, somehow. My first question is, if I use profina or some other debt consolidator, does this show negatively on my credit report?? Second question, any suggestions?? I do own my own home, but I'm only in it one year, I don't think I have enough equity in it for a loan.
