Your home is safe. CT is NOT a community property state. What's yours is yours, separate property STAYS that way - married or single - and it STAYS yours unless and until you deed it over to someone else or change the deed to include him.

As long as his name is NOWHERE on the deed, he has NO interest in the property as an asset and nothing that a creditor can go after. That's not to say they won't make stupid threats that they can - but, as usual, they'd be lying out their butts !!
