Spc. Nic,

In your second post you had asked when it would fall off your credit report if you DIDN'T pay. I can only assume by your statement that you have entertained the thought not to pay. If you think I spoke out of line because I don't have all the facts, realize that you are the one who has provided all the facts on the board for anyone to provide a comment.

Like I attempted to explain before, repossession is a process and the bank follows established guidlines in handling these matters. When the step was to place the car in the auction, at that time they chose the highest offer on the car. Believe me, it is in the best interest of the bank to try to reclaim all their money rather than trying to collect it from the party who didn't pay them in the first place!

So go down to your JAG office and see what they tell you, I am saving you the time now by telling you to either pay the balance or settle the debt. Either way that is the only way you are going to repair your credit to buy a house.

As for the military spouse post:

You wrote that you didn't receive a check for three months because you were overpaid. Well, let's see...my question comes as how could you not live off that large check which paid your moving expenses plus three months of pay???!!!

I was in the service for 12 years. I am a Gulf War vet (I). I do know a bit about the military and have always held myself to a higher standard because of my service.

Good luck,

SGT. Kjeldorian
