IF you are dealing DIRECTLY with Cap1, and NOT a CA who CLAIMS to be representing them. And IF your account has NOT reached charged off status, and IF they agree to settle for 50% and give you a 1099C for the "forgiven debt" balance, then yes, you should take the deal.Providing of course that you get it ALL in writing,signed by an authorized party from Cap1.
