If this is a SC collection agency, they must be licensed in SC.

You say the account is over 2 years old, SC has a 3 year SOL on credit card accounts, the date would start from the FIRST month you were late,or past due even if you kept making payments to the OC.

If you check your Experian report, it will have the "removal date" Deduct 4 years and 1 month from THAT date.

If you are past that date, you are beyond the legal time for being sued and can send them the SOL letter from my website.

If you are beyond SOL, and have a record of all these calls etc. and the CA is licensed, you can file a complaint with the FTC,the State Bar Assoc. and the State AG's office. Of course, if he is NOT licensed, then you have a BIGGER complaint as well.
