on my credit report i have an OC that is showing a charge off for 5/98 but there is still a balance due showing. a CA bought that acct and reported it in 2/03 with a balance due. how should i dispute this with the CRA's? the CA has not contacted me at all. or should i leave it all alone because it would be opening a can of worms. I am completely new to this and could reall use the help. i can't get any loans because it looks as if i owe twice the amount and that it is recent. please help
