CA reporting 3X on Equifax

My husband disputed 3 collection accounts from Harvard Collections on his Equifax. He also disputed Harvard on the other two CRA's, but they only had one listing on those. Anyway, they verified (all three) and sent him a letter stating they had been contacted by a CRA & had verified the information. At the time, my husband didn't know what the collection was for but they had the original creditor's name on the letter & it was for an apartment that he & his ex-wife lived in together. He thought everything was paid, but apparently it wasn't. There was also a judgment for this apartment listed on all 3 reports, but only Equifax verified it & the other 2 deleted it. I just sent DV letter to Harvard Collections. I know we should deal with the judgement, but we have no clue what to do with it. The judgement is only for $876, but Harvard has an amount of over $1,300. I understand that tenant-landlord laws are very strict & it would be tough to get the judgement vacated. We now live in Mass & the judgement is in IL. This dates back to 1996. My question is now that the CA knows where we live, can they try to garnish wages, etc to collect this, even though it is really old. We really don't have the money to settle. Does the CA have to validate since there is a judgement? What's my best approach to take? I would just let these fall off & try to ignore them, but my husband is actively looking for a job and has been turned down once due to poor credit. Any suggestions?
