LadyNRed - noticed you mentioned living in Greenville, SC and now TN. I live in Greenville, and my husband moved here from TN when we married, so we're dealing w/ old debts of his from both states.

You mentioned SC credit card SOL is 3 years. Does that apply to store credit cards or just major ones like MasterCard & VISA? And I'm assuming the laws of whichever state the account was acquired in are the laws that apply, but perhaps not?? (I'm specifically wondering about an account acquired at a Goodyear store in TN in 2000, but there's also a Target one from 1999 from SC.

Also, what SOL law would apply to accounts for cell phones from Verizon? Are they considerered credit accounts or what?

Any links to SOL info for either state would be great! Thanks.
