Let me say this though. This "lawyer's" threat of suing and the oh-so-typical 'time limit' is likely nothing more than that - a THREAT AND BOGUS, meant to do nothing except SCARE you into paying. Don't give in to their BS tactics, that's how they operate. It could very well turn out that you don't have to pay them a damn thing - that's why we need that other info ;)

Further, they can NOT garnish your husband's wages for YOUR debts. They cannot do ANYTHING unless and until they file a lawsuit against you, you lose, then they get a judgment. That process could take months IF it even happens. From my experience, the majority of these CA scumbags that make these kinds of threats are full of crapola.

Calm down - panic is not good for you or your family and its EXACTLY what the collection agency wants - don't play their game !! Do NOT call them, do NOT answer the phone, and if you do, RECORD everything !!

Lets get the facts and we'll go from there :)
