Of course you can do it .... you just risk getting sued left and right, especially if you are a property owner. You will ruin your credit for as long or longer than if you file bankruptcy. With bankruptcy you can rebuild your credit within a couple of years. Chargeoffs never go away and the debt is sold and resold, making the 7 years turn into 10 or more years. The harrassment will be enormous. If you get sued then you will more than likely have judgments entered against you, which stay on as long as a bankruptcy. Good luck ..... you will need it.
