Need help!!! Have until tomorrow to act....

Just got this in today's mail (as paraphrased from MIL), and we have until tomorrow to pay/act on it. The CC company (MBNA) is offering 25% on the outstanding balance of just over $24,000, and it's payable on July 25th (tomorrow!!). We haven't paid anything since October of 2002, we lived in NY (we no longer live in the US, or even in the Northern Hemisphere!), and this is the first we've heard from MBNA other than the notice saying our account was cancelled when we filed for Ch 7 bk (this was back in December, before we left the US, but we were not able to return to appear for the bk trustee... long story.. when we filed, the lawyer said we'd be able to either have one of us appear or do it by proxy over the phone... trustee said we BOTH had to appear, which would have meant the entire family returning to the US, costing us more money that we don't have, etc, etc...). So, MIL is willing to loan us the money to pay MBNA. Do we take her up on her offer and get rid of it, or wait till they come after us down here... or WILL they come after us down here? We're in New Zealand now, and will likely stay here. Thanks,
