be very careful. i had a situation with an ex-girlfriend who gave me permisson to sign a check for her and the check bounced and she threatened to file forgery charges. even though we all do it at some point for various circumstances... unless it's in writing like you are the power of attorney or something like that, it's best not to even risk it.
