If you were making regular payments to them up until 2002, and using your personal checks,you will have a hard time proving it is not your account.

However, if the payments were NOT regular,you MIGHT be able to raise the issue of what KIND of account it was, revolving?,installment?

Most States have very strict rules on the wording of fixed loan agreements, that MAY be why they "lost" the original agreement.

If you tell me what State you are in, I will get you their requirements, if they cannot PROVE the original agreement met the State requireents, you may have a shot at winning.
