I had a Speakeasy DSL account, which went delinquint in March, because I had not recieved statements, therefore it was not paid. After two months, my account was disconnected and I was charged $300 on top of the prorated due I owed them. Within another two months my account was then given to a creditor, NCO. When I called Speakeasy about three weeks ago, they finally told me that my account was given to NCO. When I called NCO they told me my account did not exist. It wasn't until two days ago did NCO call me to notify me that they had just activated my account and that I owe them around $350. Is there anything I can do to eliminate this debt, or lower the amount?
