Ford is not being an AH, your father voided the lease by "loaning" you the car.

You have some amount of liabiliy by being in possession of a vehicle without the owner's (FORD,not your father) permission.

In addition the insurance is also invalid, as I doubt your father listed you as a driver.

I understand why Ford is acting so nervous.

Next time make sure you look any "gift horse" in the mouth.
