Again you did not have all the facts. I did make all of my payments and continued to pay my payments until the day I recieved the collection notification for the balance at which time I contacted a local lawyer under the advice of the JAG lawyer. Under that lawyer's advice I discontinued payments because the bank DID NOT ACCEPT THE HIGH OFFER OF $7000 WHICH WAS OFFERED AND REJECTED APPROX 48 HOURS BEFORE I CALLED THEM AND TOLD THEM TO COME AND PICK THE CAR UP. THEY INSTEAD SOLD THE CAR AT AUCTION FOR $3600 LESS THAN 1 MONTH LATER. The lawyer said he would handle any further correspondance from the bank and he has not heard a word from them AT ALL. The reason I posted here was to see if anyone had any further knowledge into NY state repo law, not to deal with a disgruntled NCO who has nothing better to do than try and councel a soldier who is not only no onger a soldier, but is a DISABLED GULF WAR VETERAN.
