BTW, I figured out HOW Speakeasy set the account up in my name, and it is totally irresponsible! I went on the Internet Wayback Machine and looked at ordering DSL in summer 2001...and wouldja believe they ask for the "address as it appears on your phone bill"???? GUESS WHO had the only phone in her name at the time in our house...regardless, he had to enter a credit card to initiate service, so they STILL know it wasn't me that ordered it. BASTARDS. Wonder if I have a cause of action against them? Does the FCC regulate DSL providers??
