Filing counterclaims

When answering a lawsuit, and filing counterclaims, do I just list the sections of the FDCPA that the CA has violated and wait until we go to court to state what they did to violate those sections or do I do it all in the counterclaim?

Also, in the counterclaim, do I list the $ amounts (costs, damages, etc.) that I am after or do I do that in court?

Does anyone by chance have an example of an answer with counterclaims?
