This is third party contact. I have found online a 1990 note from Roger Fitzpatrick, atty for Div of Credit Practices that states "specifically, requesting neighbors to convey messages to the debtor is not permiited by the act."

I have found nothing else to offset what he stated, and a collection agcy requested my neighbor take her name/phone # and put it in our mailbox regarding a business transaction.

Is there a way to find more info from Div of Credit Practices response to further clarify if it IS now okay to request neighbors convey messages? Any help is appreciated.

I called the FTC and they can only cite location info...nothing else.
