I am limited as to knowledge about repos, several others can surely be of help. I do know that you have the right of Discovery. When someone takes you to court they must prove their case. Of course, they try to trick you into proving it for them so they can avoid work. By challenging them, contesting their case, answering the suit, you start costing them money and force them to get to work.
You answer their initial 'counts' by stating ' lacking in knowledge' in other words, "hey jerk, it's your case, you filed it so go right ahead and show your warped cards already."
next they hit you with interrogatories, motions for admission, and production of documents. Again, depending upon the local court rules you can answer some or much of these by claiming 'lacking knowledge'. Let them prove what they speak from their twisted snouts.
As to whehter they show the file, again over time they have to show the file to the court. Best not to display too much interest in it early on, let the swine think they have something, then when they realize they've bluffed their way out of their little pigpen past the point of no return, you stick a fork in their backs.
Legally, of course.

Fork them, each and every one,
