In general, in your response, unless you have actual knowledge with your own documentation of their claims, you should respond with "no personal knowledge". The fact that there is no copy of a signed appplication in the "validation" they sent you may indicate the application did not conform to NC law, and did not allow for legal fees. As I remember, in your previous thread, you said you were within SOL because you last paid them 12/2000, however, I don't believe you ever said if that last payment was on an up-to-date account. If it was not, perhaps you can look at the accounts they sent you, and see if there were late charges or past due fees added in the months or year prior to your last payment.
