Alright, check out quatloos.com and falc.com. These are sites of the Adkisson Group. Jay Adkisson is recognized as an asset protection guru who will also call bullshale on the idiots, shams, cretins and other goons out there trying to sell people bogus 'asset protection' schemes.
Asset protection does have standards, there is the Fraudulent Transfer Statute to always consider meaning that if your asset protection methods are seen as merely of convenience to avoid the IRS or pending lawsuits then the assets lose their protections.
Start with Adkisson, he's the best and predicted long ago that offshore trusts and single-member LLC's would be rendered ineffective by court challenges.
There's always the mattress. Or the ever reliable "I blew it gambling", long a favorite of 'the boys', so to speak.
