Closing a CC

I had authorize a CA to withdraw $50.00 monthly form my bank account and would like to stop that withdrawal. I went to my bank and had my old checking account closed hoping to stop the ACH form coming out. My bank then informs me that the ACH will continue to come out because each time the ACH hits my old account it will reactivate and open it again. The representative instructed me to call the CA and tell them to stop the withdrawal but I know that will not work. What other measures can I used to stop the CA from withdrawing funds out of my account without closing it. I am an account with Commerce Bank.
