Thank you, patti. If I start the payment arrangements, won't that also be admitting that it is my account? If I don't start the payments this month, they are going to sue or turn it over to a collection agency. I just don't want to make the situation worse.

When I receive the verfication after disputing as not mine, should I then go ahead and dispute the amount? Is there a sample letter that shows how to dispute details other than "not mine"? The letters I have seen all involve identity theft and "not mine" as the reason for the dispute. I have read on several sites that the proper wording of the letters will make or break success.

Lastly, can someone refer me to a link for Texas repo laws? This creditor is firm in that they are not going to send me anything other than what they have already sent. If I can get through this, I can get through anything.
