Thank you so much, you really made me feel more comfortable about this whole thing. We are not filing right now but for sure next year. I am pregnant and if we filed now we would be in Chapter 13. If we wait until after the child is born we most definitely would be in Chapter 7. It just doesn't make sense to do Ch 13 and have to convert it later. My only worry is someone trying to sue us now. What would happen if they tried to get a judgment? Would we be ok if we told the court we were filing BK after our child is born? Or would they drain us dry up til that point. We will need all the extra $ to buy baby stuff and a washer and dryer since lugging a baby around town to do laundry for hours doesn't sound feasible. I am going to take my husbands name off our joint account for sure this coming weekend. He has a credit union he can use in the mean time.
