Looking back. I think I would have gone the bk route. Credit Counseling did a lot of damage to my Credit Reports. Creditors keep reaging the debt which means another bad mark for seven years. It's probably illegal since there was no reaging agreements, but I going to have to fight these guys to clean my report. I have to ask for a statement each month. I have sent the equivalent of 90% of the principle as payment, and still owe half. I have no clue what happen to the cuts in interest. The counselors I worked with were excellant to work with. But I think it was the OC who took it to me. I wouldn't recommend this program to anyone. But that just my experiance. Maybe you will have better luck.
