That's the problem LadyinRed when we got in this mess back in 99 we let everything go to make our payments on the house. Got behind on property taxes and were able to put them on the low income senior deferral program. We got the house paid off April 03, neither one of us can believe we made it! Now we are working to try and get the back taxes ($12,000) paid up. But what's the use here in Oregon they can force a sale for $3K.

Yeah Patti that is the thought here, judge was not happy to think we tried to defend ourselves. Hubby told him how can you get an atty when they want so much up front, judge says well they have to get paid.

If I can regroup I will try to find an atty to see if we can appeal. I know we only have so much time but I just can't make myself go back through the stuff to find the statute on that the last week really drained me working on all three at one time. Guess the fastest way would be to call the court and ask...but I'll probably get the ole you need to ask an atty line.

Anyway we have no savings, the checking is only SS, we have no insurance of any kind except auto, and hubbys medicare and our two cars are 84 Buick and 88 voyager maybe they'll settle for those LOL.

Anyway I finally figured why Assets complaint included defendant(s) throughout, found the statute and an oregon case where they include the spouse even though they didn't sign on the card so that they can get past the "Tenancy by Entirety" thing.

Am feeling pretty beat up...just need a few days to snap out of it!
