Afternoon. I'm being sued by a collection/attny firm on behalf of my old bank for debts owed. We've recv'd various court docs, summons, and finally a doc which looks like a final judgment. My question is at this point what can I do, or what legs do I have to stand on to negotiate payment arrangments? The reason why I havent taken approach sooner was due to the fact that. While getting notices from the attny/collector, we we're still getting monthly pymt bills/coupons from our bank which confused me as to whom I should actually be paying. Also, when negotiating with the attnys, they were unwilling to work with us such as; interest reduction on the acct, in fact they are still charging us interest on the
debt while it was written off probably a year ago. very uncooperative which made me reluctant to send them anything. Anyone..please advise.
