Indeed, try the media troubleshooters and forget any bullshale about 'pay your bills'. Asset is a bunch of scumbags and the judge was blustering in hope of covering his total ignorance of federal law which does in fact apply. Perhaps as well he wants to deflect attention from any appearance of 'favors' coming his way from AssXXXX as token of appreciation for sympathetic albeit illegal rulings. He sounds like the typical ignorant slob that passes for 'an officer of the court'.
Years back that meant something. Today most judges and lawyers are just a bunch of money grubbing cynics who augmented mummie and daddie's college allowance by selling coke to their dorm mates. Many 'worked' as low-level teachers, usually in a gym coaching the opposite - or perhaps - the same sex with a bit too much vigor until they realized they could better feed their vanity by earning 'big bux' as lawyers. What price glory?
You say much by stating that you and your husband have one another. Does the slob from AssXXXX have that? Nope. Your finest posessions are beyond the reach of these sub-human slimbags, unacquainted as they are with love, respect, decency.
Remember, it costs them money to take a home despite the idiotic and cruel threats made by them and their comfort-boy judge. Remember well that the big "L" word is much on their diseased little minds, though they'd never admit it. Right, they try to take your home, what happens if friends and interested media persons are there with cameras? What it either you or your husband suffers some sort of stress reaction to the presence of these scumbags on your property? Right, tell your doctor forthwith. All is not lost.

"The Dean of Bad Debt" is now in his eighth decade, he's run his putrid little sweatshop legalized theft ring for over forty years. That's long enough. One money grab too many might just be the one that blows back, toppling the mansion that blood and tears built.
A thought, isn't edcombs.com filing class actions against this company? Worth a try. You have many friends here who have experienced some of the awful pain and endlessly searing distress caused you by these criminal lice who do this for money and also, most cruelly, to set examples. They wouldn't last one second in your shoes. You have strength and love for one another. These predators are weaklings who fear human qualities, in the manner of all predatory psychos.
This will pass. You will have one another, and yes though this sounds preposterous at present, you won't always feel this terribly.
The slimebags who apparently serviced the mongo-judge to gain an illegal favorable ruling will never see their pointless, empty, predatory lives improve. They will always find themselves in court, khowtowing to some crooked slob of a judge, preying upon the sorrow of others for moderate financial gain, never gaining insight as to why they always feel so empty and unfulfilled at week's crack-snorting conclusion. Insects.
