I was wondering........... My husband has a high balance card to Chase, being handled by American Recovery Systems. About $23877.00. He says its a compilation of many balances from other cards he transfered to that card. Wouldn't that make it very hard for them to validate considering almost all the balances were from other cards/companies? Should we try? That is the highest balance card we have and I think they would be the first to sue. I was making a payment plan to be in effect August 31 by telecheck but our old atty suggested we call chase and find out who really owned the debt. Come to find out that Chase does still own it even though when I asked the CA they said "they Owned it and purchased it from Chase. When I found out they lied to me I put a stop on the check and now they are in hot pursuit. Chase said they would call the CA and have them send me the payment plan outline in the mail with all the terms. Since then........ Nothing! Not from the CA or Chase. Im making an effort to pay and all I ask for is something in writing about our agreement, how hard it that????????? Geeeeeez.
I was honest with Chase and told them the CA LIED! They know I put a stop on the Check until I get something in writing. It seems if they wanted their money they would send it out ASAP! I will maybe try to validate before I pay anything?

By the way, thank you, thank you, thank you!
