The account has been charged off. National Financial Systems has called me about it. They said they are working for Citi but don't own the account. Does that make a difference or will Citi still not be willing to settle it with me directly? Should I send a letter and see if I get a response from them?

What terms should I tell National that I would be willing to settle for? They can't remove Citi's entry? But would it be updated by Citi that it has been paid/settled? Is it worth settling with a CA?

Sorry so many questions.

Last payment was 8/02. Shows to come off Experian 8/09.

I'm only wanting to settle this in hopes of purchasing another house in 2 years.
