They own the account, they cannot get citi 's entry on your report changed.

If you offer them a "settlement" now, while you are within SOL and can be sued, they will file suit and demand the whole balance PLUS added interest and fees.

I suggest you do NOTHNG, and wait out the 2 years. If you DO reach an agreement with the CA to "settle" they will take your $$, the original chargeoff will still show from citi AND they will resell the balance to another CA.
