"Validation" - please help, have to respond by tomorrow

OK, so what should be my next step? Won't belabor the details anymore...for those who tuned in late, short version: this is NOT my debt, DSL provider allowed psycho ex boyfriend (NOT husband) to set up an acct in my name, I knew nothing about it till now, almost 2 years later. I have now demanded validation twice. First time, CA didn't send it but sent another dunning letter. Second time, they "validated" by sending copies of invoices, saying OC says the debt is due and owing, and mentioning that account was "associated with" an e-mail addy that belong to my psycho ex! As noted, they pulled a hard inquiry on my EXPERIAN (very disappointing to see that Scott's lawsuit didn't even cause them to delete!) as well, the same day I faxed them a validation demand (to which they replied the same day, so I know both that they got my fax and that their inquiry was a retaliation for it). They have indicated in their last letter that they have "set this matter up to payment in full by August 8, 2003" (sic). I want to reply in some form by tomorrow. Oh and P.S. - Though I verbally told both CA and OC that this wasn't my debt and psycho ex set it up in our initial and only phone calls, I haven't documented that in writing yet, which I presume I should so I can prove I told them and they shirked their responsibility to see if what I'm saying is true. What would you do? Thanks a bunch for any guidance. I DO want to sue but I want to catch them a few more times first so they can't claim it was bona fide error etc. and I want a little time to prepare a case.
