The CA that is suing me is Associated Receivables, Inc. ARI has tried to get me to settle but as my sister pointed out - why settle and pay an amount that I disagree I even owe in the first place! Something just smells fishy. Providian got their money. Providian tells me who they sold the account to. CA claims to be the "assignee" of Providian. I dare this CA to walk in and show the judge a paper from Providian giving the account to them. I don't believe it's going to happen.
