If both you and your wife are FL residents then your home is exempt by something better than FL law, it's the state constitution. Scumbag banker shills and their apologists in congress were crying about the Homestead Protection in hope of whipping up some class envy to have it weakened. It didn't work, people know who the enemy is.
You are allowed one car up to $1000 in value but cars on notes are considered 'secured assets'. The sleazeball collector would have to buy out the car loans, not likely. You might want to contact the clerk of court in FL in your county and make sure your 'Declaration of Domicile" papers are in order, this seals the homestead protection, puts your dwelling place beyond the reach of these five legged mutants.
Your home is protected, you are in good shape, these bugs might just buzz off.
