Thanks for the advice. I figured up the student loan and it is only about 8000 so I bet it could be paid off in the three to five years. It and some taxes are my only secured debt. But, my husand and I have no dependents and make around 58 thousand a year between us, so I don't know if we would qualify for chapter7. The judgement on the student loan is up Oct 12 if it is not renewed. Would they be able to renew the judgement if we were in BK process?
