The situation is as follows:

-I was sued in Florida on a reposessed car
Financed in Contract=$15028.14
Lawsuit for=$10871.86
Paralegal Time=$1750.00 + Court Costs
Interest since date of reposession=$806.90
Lawyer's Fee to Plaintiff (1/3)=$3261.56

-This car was sold in an auction for only $2,700

-I DON'T remeber if I received a notification on the sale and deficiency of the car, or the oportunity to redeem it.

-I went to check the court file for this case and there is no proof that they sent me a notified letter about the reposession.Do you think they will save this for the trial?

-They served the landlord where I used to live a year ago (as the original post says)I was not notified of the process, nor of the Hearing for Summary Judgment. (I found out entering my name on the civil records on miamidade.gov website)

-Lawsuit was filed within my state SOL.

-They have the Original Contract signed by me.

Aside of the legal matter, I have a situation:
My ex-husband and I bought the car on March, and we divorced in September he kept the car, I never used it.
I have the copy of the Insurance Policy Renewal under his name only six month after the purchase.

What do you suggest?
I have less than 48 hours now to prepare my defense, I don't know how to start.
