I am dealing with these dimwits now for a check I didnt even write. They are completely disorganized and dont seem to have a clue what's going on. I have sent them proof that the checks were forgeries no less than 5 times now and they STILL cant seem to get it together. Regardless, search your bank records and find out if you did in fact write the check. If you did, pay it, but pay it directly to the company you wrote the bad check to. NOT them.
