Thanks, Patti for the answer on the 30 days question below on the Validation letter. One more question - with about two months to go until the SOL is up on this account, do you feel I should go ahead with the validation letter, or just lay low and hope for the best? Would this letter raise a red flag?

I am a little concerned about the following paragraph of their letter: "If arrangements to my client cannot be made, we will have no choice but to consider legal action. Forcing my client to file a lawsuit to obtain a justment against you could add court costs and atty's fees to the balance, and could result in reporting a judgment against you to a nationwide credit bureau. In addition, other HARSHER remedies could follow." To me this sounds threatening.

This letter shows the creditor as Unifund CCR Partners, and the original creditor is Citibank Universal Card.

Would really appreciate hearing your thoughts on this.
