CAMCO got a CR on me with only my name and address.
They sent me a letter demanding >$2400 (interest and penalties were accruing by the minute obviously; they'd let me know how much more I owed them before they'd deposit my check.)
I sent them the obligatory letter disputing their claim and demanding that they provide copies of all charges with my signature attached. I obviously did not sign the letter, lest they scan it and forge stuff.
If they call you, then call them back: If you are so absent-minded as to "forget" a debt, then walking up to a pay-phone and dialing them up on their toll-free number, only to absent-mindedly walk away, leaving the handset dangling, ....
