Who should I pay??

Hey all..
I have lot of debt, its all being handled by a dmp, except one with Fleet Bank. They charged it off in Feb 03, my last payment was in March 03, They now have sent it to NCO, I would prefer to pay amounts at a time, if I ignore NCO and send them directly to Fleet will the amount be credited? I am in NY. The amt is $1700.00.. Ideas thoughts?
