PHS likes to speculize in Apartment Leases and get this, Funeral Home collections! Talk about bottom feeding hagfish. I had a lease with some scumbag leasing company called TGM who tried to make me pay for routine repairs which were clearly the lanlord's responsibility. PHS got the collection account and palced it on my Exp report and I disputed with a verification letter. All I got from them was an account statement. A week later they then added the collection to my TU and EQU AND added it to my wifes! A week after that, just as was preparing my small claims case I get a letter from a "Complience" officer at PHS saying that the account is closed and all negative items will be removed. Can't figure how that happened but someone must have read my letter and figured I meant business. So yes, there bark is way bigger than there bite. Too bad, as I was really looking foward to suing them.
