SOL letter?

Should I start sending SOL letters to CA's calling me to harrass me on credit card debt due to fall off credit report in 1/2007 and 4/2007? I am in Alaska, SOL is 3 years, so my take is that they don't have a leg to stand on, since they are past the SOL. I have sent validation letters and that when it seems that a different CA buys my file. I just wanted to know when would be a good time to start sending out the SOL letter.
