If anyone can give me advice here, it would be most appreciated. My niece whom is 18 bought a home in April of this year. She bought it with her friend that is 19, the friend is first on the loan. The friend is a major party person, whom invites under age people over and serves alcohol and smokes pot with them. Some of these kids are 13!!! The cops were called and they took everyone to jail. Including my niece. My niece got a ticket for disorderly home owner. The friend ripped the toliet off the wall of the jail cell and spent an extra few days in jail. She is now on probation. The experience of jail didn't change any of the parties. The friend also moved her sister in that is 17 and don't work. My niece asked that things change, as she works two jobs and go to college. She knew she could not continue living this way. She also requested that the friend split the bills 3 ways now as there is a 3rd person living.

I advised my niece to file bk and get the heck out while she is young. When she talked to the friend about this, she was threatened to watch her back if my niece does such a thing. It got so bad that myself or one of my sisters were going over to the house daily to protect my niece.

She finally had enough and moved out this Monday. The girl threatened to slash our tires and take my niece to court and just had a fit. She argued with myself and my children the entire time we were moving her things out. She had the lights turned off yesterday, and the friend again threatened her. The friend also asked her to sign a quick claim deed, I told my niece not to sign a thing.

Is there anything my niece can do other than file bk? The friend can't afford to do it alone, and refuses to refi. The friend also got the loan with fraud papers she made up.
